Fluid Power Clubs
NFPA supports clubs at universities with up to $2,000 in annual stipend funding to help students learn about fluid power while they work on educational and technical projects.
Benefits
- Learn about fluid power while working on educational and technical projects, and other fun activities
- Receive up to $2,000 in annual funding, which can be used for:
- Materials for fluid power projects
- Catering for events / meetings involving NFPA industry members. (Alcohol will not be covered)
- Other costs as approved by NFPA
- Gain knowledge that will be extremely beneficial if your club / school participates in the NFPA Vehicle Challenge.
- Get access to guest speakers and mentors from the fluid power industry
- Learn about job opportunities in the industry
- Gain leadership experience and professional development
Requirements
- Must be four-year college or university
- Must offer Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees
- Must have at least three student members (one must be at or below junior level)
- Must have faculty advisor who oversees fluid power club activities
- Must appoint a student president and student treasurer. See below under additional resources for details regarding responsibilities.

We invite all engineering student organizations interested in learning more about fluid power to apply. Both new and returning Fluid Power Clubs should complete the following in order to apply:
- Complete the application form
- Make sure to include your institution's W-9 with the application

Returning Fluid Power Clubs must also submit their End of the Year Report, which should include an expense report detailing the costs associated with activities from the past year. For guidance on how to complete this, including how to access the form template, please refer to the additional resources section below.
Once we receive your Fluid Power Club Application, we'll review it and follow up with you.
