The Power Partner Program at NFPA showcases universities that provide a high level of fluid power education while actively participating in NFPA Fluid Power Programs such as the Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge and the Fluid Power Club program. Our Power Partner Universities prepare students with the skills and experience needed to succeed in the fluid power industry.
To celebrate Tennessee State University (TSU) as our newest Power Partner, NFPA is hosting an Industry Connection Event on Wednesday, March 26, on-site at the TSU campus in Nashville, Tennessee. This event is an excellent opportunity for NFPA members to engage with TSU students and faculty, explore the strengths of TSU’s engineering programs, and connect with emerging talent in the fluid power field. If you would like to participate, please register here.
Tennessee State University, a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), is recognized for its strong engineering and technology programs. The College of Engineering at TSU is committed to expanding fluid power education and fostering meaningful connections with industry leaders. By joining the NFPA Power Partner Program, TSU is enhancing its efforts to integrate fluid power concepts into its curriculum, collaborate with industry professionals, and create new opportunities for students pursuing careers in this field.
We extend our gratitude to Dr. Mohammad Habibi and the entire TSU engineering department for their dedication to making this partnership a reality. Their efforts in promoting fluid power education and industry engagement have been instrumental in this collaboration.
Now that Tennessee State University has joined our Power Partner Program, there are plenty of ways for you and your company to get involved! If you are interested in attending the Industry Connection Event, speaking with a class, or engaging with the TSU engineering community, please contact Kyla Olson at kolson@nfpa.com. We would be happy to introduce you to TSU faculty and coordinate opportunities for you to interact with students, either virtually or in person. Let's Connect!
