Virtual Conferences & Webinars
The upcoming webinar will feature Dan Martin, an Oxford Economist, who will present findings from the 2023 Regional Demand Report. The presentation will include a comparison with previous reports, a walkthrough on navigating the report, and an analysis of the underlying factors producing changes in demand. The session will conclude with a Q&A period, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with the expert.
NFPA’s U.S. Fluid Power Regional Demand Estimates Report is an Excel-based report prepared for NFPA by Oxford Economics. The report profiles the estimated geographic distribution of fluid power products to end-use industries by state, including fluid power sales dollar estimates, fluid power sales percentage estimates, and number of establishments for each industry in every state.
Dan Martin is a Lead Economist on the Economic Impact Consulting team. During his eleven years at Oxford Economics, Dan has worked on a wide range of topics, including economic footprint analyses in industries such as petroleum refining, air transportation, nuclear energy, consumer goods, and industrial trucks. Much of his work has focused on labor markets, on topics such as overtime regulation, career progression, retirement savings, and gap analyses relating occupational demand to educational supply. He has also worked on topics such as energy efficiency, international trade, and the economics of warehousing. Dan has a PhD in economics from Clark University, an MA from NYU, and a BS from Stanford, and previously worked at the Environmental Protection Agency.

Upcoming Webinar: Setting the Ground Rules for the Relationship
Frustration often stems from the gap between expectations and reality. Join Jared Lockwood from Sandler in this live, interactive session to explore how to bring clarity, efficiency, and effectiveness to managing sales opportunities.
This session is designed for professionals who:
- Attend meetings unsure of what to expect.
- Have great conversations but struggle to hear back afterward.
- Realize that they are not talking to the right people.
- Feel treated as subordinate rather than as equals by prospects.
- End meetings with vague responses like, “We’ll think about it and get back to you,” and aren’t sure how to follow up.
Be ready to engage on video and learn actionable strategies to navigate these challenges, improve your sales process, and close with confidence!
